PEI Regional Tourism Associations
Strategic Planning
Central Coastal Drive, Points East Coastal Drive, and North Cape Coastal Drive are three independent Regional Tourism Associations representing distinct regions of Prince Edward Island. This project brought the organizations together to develop a shared strategic direction while respecting each region’s unique identity, priorities, and tourism realities. Aligning efforts across the three associations required an approach that allowed understanding, trust, and shared purpose to develop over time.
This work involved a multi-session, iterative strategic planning process designed to surface regional perspectives, test ideas, and refine priorities through dialogue and reflection. Rather than forcing early consensus, the process created space for regions to explore where collaboration added value and how shared direction could strengthen the sector overall.
The result was a clear and practical strategic plan that strengthened coordination across regions, clarified shared priorities, and supported more effective collective decision-making across the provincial tourism system.
“Working with Dawn brought structure and clarity to our strategic plan. The most impactful outcome was moving from ideas to a clear, actionable plan. Through the process, our priorities were refined, and as a result we delivered a stronger, more focused strategy than we could have achieved on our own.
The experience of working together was efficient, clear, and well organized.
A key challenge addressed through this work was clarifying our goals and aligning our actions with them. That alignment made decision-making much easier and far more focused.”
